I DO NOT STOCK ANY GUNS FOR SALE.

I DO HAVE AN FFL LICENSE

IF YOU BUY A FIREARM THAT NEEDS DELIVERED
ONLY TO AN FFL DEALER,
I AM AVAILABLE FOR YOU.

IF WANT TO ORDER A FIREARM,
I CAN ASSIST YOU IN PLACING THE ORDER AND
HAVE IT SHIPPED HERE.
ALL IN ACCORDANCE TO FFL LAWS.

ESTIMATED PRICE QUOTES

ALL FIREARMS ARE UNIQUE AS IS THE AMOUNT OF WORK
THAT GOES INTO EACH INDIVIDUAL FIREARM.
FOR EXAMPLE:
TO REFINISH A RIFLE, THE COST WOULD DEPEND ON THE CONDITION OF THE RIFLE.  SOME HAVE YEARS OF BOUNCING AROUND IN A PICK-UP TRUCK
WHILE OTHERS HAVE BEEN KEPT IN A CASE IN A GUN SAFE.
YET OTHERS  HAVE SUFFERED SMOKE DAMAGE IN A HOUSE FIRE OR BEEN EXPOSED TO MOISTURE BEING LOST IN THE RAFTERS OF A BARN.

YES, WE HAVE SEEN ALL OF THESE SITUATIONS AND WE PRICE ACCORDINGLY.  REFINISHING A RIFLE COULD BE AS LITTLE AS $50 OR UP INTO THE $200 RANGE.
IT JUST ALL DEPENDS,
SO WE DON'T QUOTE A PRICE WITHOUT SEEING THE FIREARM FIRST.

REFINISHING A FIREARM -

WOOD STOCK REFINISHING IS DONE THE OLD FASHIONED WAY.

WE DO NOT SIMPLY USE POLYURETHANE.

FIRST WE WORK OUT AS MANY SCRATCHES AND BLEMISHES
OUT OF THE WOOD AS POSSIBLE.
WE APPLY AT LEAST 8-10 COATS OF OIL WORKED INTO THE WOOD WITH
XXXX FINE STEEL WOOL, AND ALWAYS SANDED TO A GLASS FEEL.
THEN A FEW COATS OF OIL HAND RUBBED.
WE FINISH WITH ONE TO THREE COATS OF STOCK WAX TO MAKE IT SHINE.

BLUING

EVERYONE HAS A DIFFERENT OPINION ABOUT
WHICH METHOD OF BLUING IS THE BEST.

I HAVE FOUND NOTHING IS WRONG OR BAD ABOUT THE COLD BLUING METHOD.
IF A PERSON GIVES A COUPLE MINUTES OF CARE TO A FIREARM A COLD BLUE IS BEST.
FOR EXAMPLE:
USING YOUR DEER RIFLE DURING A SUCCESSFUL WEEK LONG HUNT YOU WOULD NATURALLY CLEAN IT BEFORE PUTTING IT AWAY UNTIL NEXT YEAR.
ALL YOU NEED TO DO TO CARE FOR A COLD BLUE BARREL IS SIMPLY
WIPE IT DOWN WITH A LIGHT COAT OF GUN OIL.
OR
IF THIS IS THE RIFLE YOU KEEP IN YOUR TRUCK OR TRACTOR
THAT YOU USE ON VARMITS YEAR AROUND,
YOU MIGHT GIVE IT A CLEANING OR WIPE IT DOWN EVERY 2 TO 3 MONTHS.

HOT BLUING IS GOOD, BUT I DON'T FEEL IT IS BETTER THAN COLD.
AND I DO NOT FEEL HOT IS BETTER TO JUSTIFY THE EXTRA COSTS TO THE
GUNSMITH TO PURCHASE THE EQUIPMENT OR TO THE CUSTOMER TO HELP
PAY FOR THAT EQUIPMENT PURCHASE.

I WILL REMOVE ALL PREVIOUS BLUING DOWN TO BARE METAL AND
APPLY FRESH NEW BLUING.

REPAIR

ONCE AGAIN, I CAN NOT QUOTE ONE PRICE ON HOW MUCH IT COST TO REPAIR A GUN.

FOR EXAMPLE:
REPLACING A FIRING PIN IN ONE FIREARM MAY ONLY COST $30
BECAUSE THE PART IS EASY TO FIND AND INSTALLATION IS QUICK AND EASY.

WHILE THE NEXT FIREARM MAY COST $75 TO REPLACE THE PIN
BECAUSE THE PART CAN'T BE FOUND EASILY OR I HAVE TO MAKE THE PIN.
INSTALLATION MAY PROVE DIFFICULT.

WHEN YOU BRING THE FIREARM IN, I CAN USUALLY GIVE AN ACCURATE
ESTIMATE OF THE TOTAL COST.

OTHER REPAIRS
I WILL ALWAYS CALL AND ASK BEFORE PURCHASING A PART THAT IS ABOVE MY ORIGINAL PRICE QUOTE.
I WILL ALWAYS CONSULT WITH YOU IF I FIND A SECONDARY BROKEN PART OTHER THAN THE ORIGINAL PRICE QUOTE.

ANTIQUE REFINISHING

I WILL DO AS A CUSTOMER REQUESTS.
MANY TIMES I WILL RESEARCH THE FIREARM BEFORE BEGINNING WORK
TO MAKE SURE THE ANTIQUE COLLECTORS VALUE OF THE GUN
ISN'T IN JEOPARDY IF IT IS REFINISHED.
